FAQs

  • We are led by an experienced primary school senior leader who has been a PE lead, managed Sports Premium funding, experienced an OFSTED deep dive into PE and delivered quality CPD to empower coaches and teachers.

All of our coaching staff are observed on a regular basis by our leadership team and we support them through expert-led CPD, team teaching opportunities and regular monitoring and review of their performance.

If you’re not happy with the quality of coaching you receive from us, we guarantee we will put it right - fast!

  • Yes! This is why the name of our company is Active4All.

We are committed to providing a high quality PE and sports experience for ALL pupils, regardless of gender, ethnicity, class, SEND requirements or ability.

We do this through coaching delivered by highly-trained staff, planning with a clear focus on adaptation for SEND pupils, talent development pathways for gifted and talented pupils and targeted support, clubs and mentoring for under represented groups.

  • It will reduce it!

As experienced school leaders, we understand the unique challenges that you are facing in the current climate. Every part of our offer to schools is built around the concept of reducing stress and workload for SLT, PE leads and class teachers.

We guarantee consistency and reliability of coaches covering PE lessons, we offer full-service breakfast, lunch and after school clubs so you don’t have to worry about the admin, and we keep in regular communication to ensure that the level of service you’re receiving is of the highest standard.

We only work with a small number of schools to ensure we can provide this quality of service.

  • As well as offering a variety of extra-curricular clubs and activities which pupils and parents love, we also offer to organise and facilitate parent and child clubs and activities, helping schools to build bridges with hard to reach families and ensure that parental engagement is high.

We are also happy to lead parent workshops around the importance of a healthy lifestyle and how to engage children in physical movement throughout their day.

  • As per the PE and Sports Premium guidance, which can be found here, you must use the funding to:

    • build capacity and capability in the school, ensuring improvements to the quality of PE, sport and physical activity provision are sustainable and will benefit pupils joining the school in future

    • develop or add to the PE, sport and physical activity that the school provides

It cannot be used to fund coaches for PPA cover.

However, you are encouraged to use the funding to provide CPD for staff, including the use of sports coaches to develop your staff body. It can also be used to support in the running of extra-curricular activities, to provide targeted support to the least active pupils and to purchase resources.

We can support your SLT / PE lead to plan for and effectively use the PE and Sports Premium funding which you are required to report on.

Our Story

Active4All was founded in 2025 by Sam Berry, an experienced teacher and senior leader, who realised that despite it being regularly referred to as a favourite lesson by pupils, the quality and consistency of PE delivery had declined since he began his teacher training with PE specialism. Active4All was born out of a desire to deliver the highest-quality PE provision for all pupils, including those with additional needs that require scaffolding and those with exceptional talent who need stretching and challenging.

Sam spent 11+ years teaching in primary schools across East London and Essex, with the majority of those spent in leadership positions. As a current Deputy Headteacher at an Outstanding school, he fully understands the pressures that schools face and the challenges that come with providing a high-quality PE provision that meets the needs of all pupils. Sam is passionate about sport and using it as a tool to improve the physical and mental health of all pupils.

When he’s not working with schools, Sam loves running, cycling and swimming and is currently training for the 2026 London Marathon.
